"Our happiness is greatest when we contribute most to the happiness of others." – Harriet Shepard

What do you think about that quote? Do you find it to be true or is there just a bit of resentment surfacing as you take care of someone else’s needs? If you feel resentful, you are not alone! Often that feeling of resentment is followed by guilt – feeling guilty about feeling resentful!

The reason you may feel resentment is because you need some self-care and perhaps to take a look at your own needs! It is difficult to be genuinely compassionate toward others if you are depleted.

Self-care is the most selfless thing you can do – Tammy Steele

Did you know if you nourished yourself every day and put yourself at the TOP of your list, that you would create a renewable source of energy and vitality? Connecting with yourself first will allow you to center, ground, and make healthy choices for yourself first and then for everyone else that you want to give your time and energy to each day. You can’t give from a place of depletion. If you do, you will end up tired, sick, and resentful. From that state, no one can be taken care of with joy. Keep your energy bucket full and only give from the overflow! That is the goal. Connect to yourself and your own needs first, then you can give from abundance.

Teaching people to connect to themselves and self-care is my passion and what I love to share each day. Take a look around www.fullypresentliving.com  to learn how to put yourself first without feeling guilty.

You will find that putting yourself FIRST is the most SELFLESS thing you will ever do. Because, when you become healthy and energetic, you will know joy every day. And when that happens, everyone you touch will know joy too!

Love and Light,

Tammy
